Guides

The Bharat Scouts and Guides is the national Scouting and Guiding association of India. Guiding in India started in 1911.

Motto:

                “BE PREPARED”

Aim:

                  “The mission of Scouting is to contribute to the education of young people, through a value system based on the Scout Promise and Law to help build a better world where people are self-fulfilled as individuals and play a constructive role in society.”

Guides units are separate although they have some coeducational activities such as Jamborees and rallies. In our school from VI to IX, 64 students are involved their service in Florence Nightingale and Mary Lurthiya Guides’company. The volunteers, those who attended 3 days training programme in the month of July and, also passed in the examination conducted in the month of August, are eligible for “Rajya Puraskar” award.Students who got the “Rajya Puraskar” award can attend the training programme as well as the examination, conducted for “Rastrapathy” award.
